Marketing your information product is probably the most difficult aspect of having a successful online digital business.

You can get affiliates to do most of the work for you and concentrate your efforts on promoting your information products by other means: or just concentrate on creating other digital products to market.

Although there are many different ways for marketing your information product, here are three of the most proven effective methods.

  • Article Marketing
  • PPC, or Pay Per Click
  • Forum Marketing
  • Article marketing is an excellent way to get traffic and to generate sales for free.

All you need to do is write a series of 250 to 500 word articles on your niche topic, and submit the articles to the article directories for publication.

To generate traffic, include your website or landing page URL into the resource box at the end of your article, or as hyperlinks in the article content.

Although there are tons of article directories on the Internet; the following directories are highly ranked, and likely to give you the best response.

  • Using PPC, or Pay Per Click for marketing your information products can get expensive if you’re not sure about what you are doing.

Learning about PPC marketing can be a tricky, and expensive proposition.  However, once you learn how to correctly set up your landing pages, advertising copy, bid properly, and select keywords that provide the best bang for your buck; PPC traffic usually converts well enough to more than pay for the “learning curve” expense.

Google AdWords is the main player in the PPC market.  Their advertisements run on Google, and the ‘Content Network’ if desired.

The ‘Content Network’ is comprised of all websites that run Google AdSense advertisements in exchange for a percentage of revenue earned for clicks that come from Adsense ads on their sites.

Although this can bring in thousands of clicks almost overnight; you need to make sure you write advertisements that convert well, and have a killer sales page that will maximize conversions.

Marketing your information product can be profitable with PPC, if you remember to do this.

Almost everyone who posts on a forum, is allowed to sign with a “signature” at the end of every post they create.

This allows you to incorporate a link to your sales page, using your “signature” line.

Just make sure that your forum allows links in signatures.  Some forums DO NOT allow any links in their signatures, and others discourage commercial links.

Before posting your commercial links in your signature, check the forum rules and make sure it’s allowed.

It’s also a good idea not to ask people to click the link in your signature.  For most forums, it’s a recipe for getting yourself banned.

Marketing your information product using either or all of these proven methods, in addition to implementing an affiliate program, will insure your online digital business becomes a success.

A fascinating discussion is definitely worth comment.
There’s no doubt that that you ought to write more on this topic, it might not be a taboo subject but typically people don’t discuss such subjects.

To the next! All the best!!

I hardly comment, but i did a few searching and wound up
here Marketing Your Information Product. And I do have a couple of questions for
you if it’s allright. Is it only me or does it look like a few of the responses appear like they are coming from brain dead visitors? 😛 And, if you are writing at other online sites, I would like to keep up with anything fresh you have to post. Would you list of all of your shared sites like your twitter feed, Facebook page or linkedin profile?
