Today, almost all forms of business branding involves creating slogans to bolster or augment the business brand.

Slogans have become a necessity in building effective business branding campaigns.

Slogans are defined as short phrases or sentences, that reinforce the business name or logo, and typically tend to make it memorable in the mind of the consumer.

Many of the largest businesses have successfully marketed jingles, or slogans that sometimes are recognized by consumers as easily as their name brand.

Do you remember the slogan; “Things Go Better With Coke!”?

The slogan is as well known as the brand name.

Slogans have sometimes been dismissed as an effective element for product branding, much to the chagrin of potentially good businesses, whose brands failed to deliver.

We need slogans in our society to make brands more easily recognizable to the consumer.

The main purpose of slogans, is to enhance the image of your brand, and to provide the consumer with a window into the promises of what your brand can deliver to them.

Even the most basic words or phrases in a slogan, can farther your image, when it melds with your brand.

The primary purpose of slogans, is to facilitate brand recognition, and trigger brand recall in the consumer’s mind.

Slogans speak for the brand to the consumer when images fail.

This allows a longer lasting memory of the brand, in the subconscious mind of the consumer, and
enlarges the market arena of the product or service.

“Let Hertz put you in the driver’s seat”, is a good example of a slogan, providing a long lasting memory, of a well known brand.

You don’t necessarily need to produce a creative slogan for it to work; but you do need to create an intelligent one!

Remember, it’s purpose is to capture the consumer’s attention, and create interest about the product.

Slogans make your audience stop and take notice of your brand.

Depending on your marketing strategy, you can make slogans appeal to either the emotions, needs, or attitude of the consumer.

The main idea is to compel them into taking the action to purchase your product or service.

Slogans are an important part of your branding and marketing strategy.

They motivate consumers to buy your product, and when properly thought out, provide a subconscious trigger mechanism that recollects your brand.

Creating good catchy slogans, is important to your business.
