Keep Returning Visitor Traffic Coming Back

One major component of a successful website, is returning visitor traffic.

We all know that a returning visitor can be more easily converted into a paying customer.

We also recognize that the more frequently a returning visitor comes back to your site, the more credibility you gain with your visitor.

Since credibility is an extremely important factor in a successful website, it pays to keep your returning visitor traffic coming back to your site.

Here are a few methods you can use, to keep keep returning visitor traffic coming back to your website.

  • Update your website on a regular basis with fresh useful content.

The reason blogs are so successful, is that they are updated regularly with fresh content.  This keeps visitors to the blog interested in new content when it appears.  i.e. the reason for RSS.

Unfortunately, most webmasters are lazy, and lapse into a pattern of not updating their websites on a regular basis.

Even though regular updates are the most effective method of keeping your returning visitor traffic coming back to your site, it is the least carried out method.

Keep your returning visitor traffic; keep it fresh!  No one wants to return to a website that was last updated two years ago!  Sounds bad?  Not really. Just check out some of the sites in your next Google search.

  • Speaking of blogs, why not start one?

Starting an online journal, better known as a web log, or blog, on your site  will keep your returning visitor traffic coming back.

They serve the dual purpose of providing fresh content and building credibility.

Online journals initially began as over worded Twitter Tweets.

Now, large corporations, and countless businesses use blogs in concert with their websites, to attract, and keep, returning visitor traffic.  If you don’t already have one on your website, why not start your blog today?

  • Provide Some type of public interaction to your website.

You should consider adding some type of public interaction to your website, to keep returning visitor traffic coming back.

Polls and surveys, both provide a way for visitors to voice their opinions, and are an excellent method of getting visitors to keep returning to your site.

Most people like to get involved, and will return to see what other people think about the results of the topic of your poll, or survey.

Using this method, in addition to providing fresh content to your site, works like a charm!

Create an interactive forum or chat room on your website for return visitor traffic.

Like polls and surveys, forums and chat rooms also provide a place for visitors to voice their opinions, and interact with each other.

Visitors will religiously visit a forum on a daily basis when the content is relevant to your website.  Moderate the posts to ensure your visitors stay on topic.

Five Time Management Tips To Get More Accomplished

Here are five time management tips that will help you get more accomplished in a shorter amount of time.

Some are no brainers, but how quickly we sometimes forget the obvious!

  • Make A Written List

A time management tip, that I occasionally forget to do myself, is to make a written list of what needs to be done and when.

When you have ten things on your mind that must be done, and then get interrupted, or remember something else you must do; it pays to organize your tasks ON PAPER, so you can tic them off as you perform each task.

Not only does it increase your capacity to get things done, in order;  it gives you a sense of accomplishment when you finish scratching off everything on your written list.

  • Avoid The Possibility Of Interruption.

Put your cell phone on mute, leave your office phone on voice mail, turn off the radio and television, and close your office or work area door.

Putting up a sign telling everyone in your household that you’re working is a bit hokey but if it works; go with it!

If you absolutely have an important interruption; keep it short and return to your list as soon as possible.

  • Prepare a schedule for returning e-mails and phone calls.

If you do a lot of phone business in your home office, set a time that you  will accept return phone calls, and record it in your voice mail reply.

When you leave someone a message, be sure to advise the party when you are available for them to return the call.

This virtually eliminates the phone tag scenario that does nothing but waste time.

You won’t believe the extra time you have available when you schedule calls and stick to the regimen.

Set yourself two blocks of time daily, to read and reply to emails.  Work with your auto responder the same way.

  • Schedule Work Breaks, Or Time Outs.

Give yourself a time out during the day.

Not even workaholics can run the whole day without a break from mental fatigue, and nerve tension.

Take a deep breath.  Stretch your legs.  Take a walk to lunch, and reward yourself for a job well done.

You’ll find you get more accomplished when you take break,  than when you work through the day without one.

You’ll make fewer mistakes, especially if you’re in front of a computer screen most of the day.

  • Stay With Your Program.

When you made you list of “must dos” for the day, make sure you finish.

Time management tips are great if you follow through with them.  We all have different approaches to getting work done, and that’s fine as long as you finish what you initiate.

Remember, you got this far in your business by working your way.  Keep it up.

It’s easy to stray from your program when you begin to achieve a bit of success.

Be cautious that you don’t take for granted what you worked so hard to achieve.  Stay with your program.

Procrastination is the bane of any home based business.

Even though the best laid plans sometimes go awry; when you have a plan that works for you, stick with it.

Remember, you can be your own worst enemy, or your best employer, with a work at home business.

If you use these time management tips, you will definitely get more work accomplished faster.

Exactly What Constitutes A Brand?

First of all, let’s determine what a brand IS NOT.

A brand IS NOT a logo, that many of us commonly recognize as a brand.

A brand IS NOT a product of any sort.

Brands are not defined by internet marketers, companies, advertising agencies, marketing departments, or a company CEO.

Brands are defined by people; it’s just as simple as that!

A brand is an idea or concept, that you have complete control over, in the mind of your prospects.

A brand is what your prospects say it is.

A brand is NOT what you think it should be, or what you say it is.

What really counts in branding is what your prospects think it is, and how they respond to the idea.

A brand is often the promise of a specific benefit, a bargain, or something of exceptional value to it’s users.

It can also signal the fact that it is different from the competition in some extraordinary way.

A brand can also advance the promise, that it is more meaningful or relevant to users than it’s competitors.

A solid brand will always have true monetary value.

If there is any doubt in your mind about this, consider Coca-Cola, Harley-Davidson, Google, Apple Computer, or Intel.

All these companies have a significant percentage of their general worth attributed to their brand, and all have value.

Brands should interest internet marketers for several reasons.

First of all, when your prospects buy your products, they want to trust you.

When people buy a brand,  trust is already inherent  in the brand.

When, and if, you ever get to a point where your brand is comparable to Nike, an automatic trust factor is built around the brand.

A brand automatically distinguishes the quality and features of your product, from other similar products in the marketplace.

People in this day and age, have too many choices, and too little time to choose.

Given this scenario, a brand acts like a magnet to attract buyers.

Now that you know what constitutes a brand, you can use this information to emulate some of the qualities that makes a good brand,  in your business.
