Their robots crawl every site, and their aim is to list videos from every website on the Internet. Given enough time, they might actually do it!
When making your video, you can benefit from this grand goal, by first uploading your “perfect video advertisement” correctly, to YouTube.
When you are finished making your video, make sure it is in an acceptable format, it is less that 10 minutes in length, and that it is not more than 2 GB in size.
Remember that an ideal marketing video should be not be longer than 2 to 3 minutes, if you want to keep your viewers attention.
Make a short, useful,interesting, video.
Don’t produce an epic to promote your business website. It won’t fly!
When you’re through making your own video, click the button in the upper right corner of any YouTube page, to upload your video.
When you click the “Browse” button; find the video file that you’d like to upload to their site, and select that file. Then, just click the “upload video” button, to start uploading the file that you chose.
Make sure you enter as much information about your video as possible in the Title, Description, Tags, and Category fields.
Make sure they are keyword rich, and front loaded; just like any other article you might author for Ezine.
Although you’re not required to provide specific information, the more information you do include, the easier it is for your viewers, and Google’s robots, to locate and index your video!
After you have updated your file, click the “Save changes” button to keep your changes.
Depending on your connection speed and the size of the file, it can take from a couple minutes to an hour for your video to upload to YouTube.
If you get an error when uploading, you should make sure you’re attempting to upload a file that YouTube recognizes.
Acceptable YouTube formats are: .AVI, .MOV, .WMV, and .MPG files. This covers most of the cell phones, digital cameras, and camcorders in the industry.
After making your video, and finish uploading it to YouTube, it will appear in the YouTube index, where the Google spiders will crawl your video and add it to Google Video.
If, after making your video, you decide not to use YouTube; you can upload your video to any other third party site on the web and still be listed in Google Video.
Their robots search billions of web pages and crawl the Web in a systematic manner, on a regular cycle. After they crawl your video, it will still appear in the Google Video search results.
